PV electricity contributing 1 percent of to the mix in the public grid in the German state of Bavaria: Now that's something to celebrate! Just a few years ago even PV enthusiasts didn't think it would be possible for such great success to be achieved in such a short period. The people who should be thanked are the many citizens active in supporting PV and the resourceful companies that all made sure the 1 percent level was overcome in Bavaria last year. All the politicians, who stood up in favor of the best support model in the world, the German Renewable Energy Law (EEG), also deserve a round of applause.
In order to celebrate this event the Bavarian solar associations, Friends of the Earth Germany (BUND), the German Solar Energy Society (DGS) and PHOTON are organizing a party. And as the saying goes: when in Bavaria, do as the Bavarians do
– meaning live music as well as plenty of food and beer for all! The event will draw the
»Photovoltaic Technology Show 2007« to a close and we want to celebrate that soon enough this 1 percent could turn into at least 10 percent. We would like to invite everyone to join this party
– that especially includes all solar enthusiasts from outside Bavaria, too!
The »one- percent-party« kicks off at 6 pm on Thursday,
April 5, 2007 at M,O,C, Munich in Hall 1.
Admittance is free of
charge.
