M.Setek's upstream integration into Silicon with new Polysilicon Plant

Donato Di Noia has a doctorate in Electrical Engineering (Bologna University, Italy) and is a qualified Professional Engineer. 

From 1975 to 1984 he worked as Sales and Marketing Manager Asia Territory for Dynamit Nobel Silicon and successfully developed East and Far East markets. Since 1984 he has been working as Managing Director of the South African branch of M.Setek, Co., Ltd, a Japanese wafer and silicon manufacturer. 

Mr. Di Noia developed, promoted and carried out several numbers of PV solar installations of various applications in South Africa and Namibia. He is responsible for the company's activity outside Japan and reports directly to the President of the Company.

M.Setek Co. Ltd., a Japanese monocrystalline wafer manufacturer will add polysilicon plants of up to 15,000 tons of annual capacity to its portfolio. The plan calls for a new 500 ton facility by mid-2007 near its crystal silicon grower site in Soma, located about 350 km northeast of Tokyo. 
Donato Di Noia, M.Setek's South African representative, will present details on the project which will start with 150 tons of silicon production in 2007. Until 2011 an output of 15,000 tons will be reached.
