After four successful shows and our expansion of PHOTON USA Corp., we are now poised to bring our successful PTS (Photovoltaic Technology Show) formula to the US. The timing seems to be perfect:
- The US federal government’s 2009 solar PV R&D investment level will reach its highest level in 28 years, thanks to President Obama’s announcement on May 27 of an additional $117.6 million. The total PV R&D budget in 2009 amounts to $237 million, a 75-percent increase over 2008.
- Module prices have fallen to levels never seen before. Hardly any homeowner looking for a profitable investment can afford to neglect solar now.
- The US government is currently in the process of finalizing guidelines for its new subsidy program making solar technology even more attractive.
